Terbinafine hydrochloride treats fungal or yeast infections causing athlete’s foot. It kills the fungus, liketinea cruris(jock itch), ringwormandcandida albicans(athlete’s foot) to prevent it from reproducing and ultimately, stop infection. Terbinafine is available in cream, powder or tablet forms. If used as a cream, it may be applied topically to treat infections located on the superficial skin. The best part about Terbinafine cream is it takes effect in just half the time needed by other antifungal creams.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Lamisil may cause fetal abnormalities and should be avoided during pregnancy. Do not use Lamisil if you are breastfeeding, or if you have ever had liver disease. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, tell your doctor before starting treatment with Lamisil. Do not use Lamisil if you are dehydrated (you will be fed this medication without water). This drug will make it harder for you to urate and increase your risk of dehydration.
